What statistics can I expect?
All Blue2 solutions come with a marketing success guide built into the application. The statistics guide will show you the total number of bluetooth devices discovered (including non mobile devices) and an approximation of the number of deliveries
The accuracy of your statistics will depend on the proximity of the mobile phone you are sending to, the power and brand of the receiving devices’ bluetooth chip and the speed at which Blue2 moves onto the next phone.
The software will not record all deliveries, only those bluetooth devices which are within close enough proximity to record back to your base station a successful delivery.
Blue2Go will give you accurate statistics – this is because the combination of the Blue2go hardware, with its relatively limited broadcast range will mean that the Blue2 software will be able to register a delivery to most phones it contacts.
Blue2Pro will give you good statistics but these are only an approximation as not all deliveries will be recorded
Blue2pro Plus – due to the vast distance and scope of discovery, plus the directional broadcast, it is often impossible to scutinise accurately the successful delivery of your message, although the discovery of bluetooth enabled phones and devices will be very accurate. .
Delivery distances to all phones are affected by the bluetooth components contained within the individual devices, as the general quality of phones increases ,so has the quality of the bluetooth chipset installed’ which has in turn, increased the overall delivery distance. This pattern of improved quality from phone manufacturers is likely to continue as so we should see greater delivery distances in the future.
There is no current technical way for a phone at some distance to work with the Blue2 hardware and software to send a recognisable transmission that would be acknowledged as a delivery – your messages are being delivered, when accepted, by the consumer, it is just that the limitation of bluetooth technologies and the weak receivers used in mobile phones means that you may not always get a registration within your statistics
Please note
1) When looking at your statistics that they are purely a guide and the greater the zone of broadcast the less accurate the statistics will be.
2) The total number of devices found will include PDA’s, Hand held PDQ,s, bluetooth enabled printers, mobiles, laptops, hands free devices. It is worthwhile always downloading the latest versions of our software as each week we learn the serial numbers of these non-mobile phone and laptop devices and add them to the Blue2 exclusion list.
3) Please note that the factors affecting the discovery and sending ranges of bluetooth devices are
1) The software
2) The quality of the bluetooth device on the phone receiving
3) The quality and sensitivity of the bluetooth sending device
3) Sending conditions i.e. atmospherics, buildings, terrain even weather
